Individual PlanningAll 6th grade students will attend a "6th Grade Mini-Meeting" with their assigned counselor at the beginning of each school year. The purpose of these meetings are for counselors to get to know their new students, and vice versa!
In 8th grade, we spend some time focusing on the transition to high school. Students receive a classroom lesson in the winter to help prepare them for the transition to high school and freshman year registration. They will also have the opportunity to meet with their counselor individually to discuss course options. Registration for 9th grade occurs in the winter/spring. High school counselors come to the middle school to assist with registration, along with middle school counselors. |
